Singin' in the Rain

It's rainy season in Maracay again...at least I think it is--it's rained 4 out of the last 5 days. Rain is all well and good, but...we have to choose to sing in it! You see, when it rains, it pours, and ... our house floods! Woohoo, what fun! We discovered it not too long after we had moved into this house, last August. The Schags were staying here, looking for their house. It began to rain...one day...two days...three days in a row. No big deal, right? WRONG! We noticed that the rain was filling up our front sidewalk in front of the house, then it came in slowly, slowly. We were an interesting sight that afternoon, in rolled up jeans with buckets, scooping water out into the yard! The Sanders family has had many interesting adventures with water...and cars too! Another day, we'll share another water story. The moral of the story is that you either sing in the rain...or cry. You need a sense of humor and a good life philosophy to meet with whatever comes, especially if it comes in your door uncalled for...enjoy today, with or without rain!

We had a little flood today as well on the back patio. Nothing like the ones I hear about at your place though.
