Today, we received a blessing: the arrival of our 5K twin "white" babies! Yippee!
We took a picture of them! Aren't they adorable?

Babies in Tree

Time for Two at the Zoo!

Isn't that a cute rhyme?! You'd better say yes, because it's the best I can do! Today Matt and I took "the babies" (as we fondly refer to Aaron, age 5, and Sophie, age 3) to the zoo. It was pretty fun, although the animals were a little scarce! Kind of like sugar and chicken, I guess. We saw a (very old) elephant, a tapir, several monkeys (those must be cheap or free--every zoo has tons of them), a small hippo, several fighting pigs, and, very surprisingly, a black bear. Matt commented that he must be very hot! How does he survive--I'm hardly doing that these days, and I don't have a gorgeous thick black coat! Pics later...

I Really Don't Have Time for This...

Yes, my fellow bloggers, I really don't have time for this. I mean, we all have lives, don't we? Let me give you a rundown of mine...
4:30 a.m. (yes, you read that right) - Up and ready
5 a.m. - Bible time (only time for it before the honyocks get up!)
6 a.m. - Laundry
6:30 a.m. - Walk
7 a.m. - Make breakfast... and it goes on
Do you get the picture? And I am shamefully accused of NOT posting anything new! I will try to get on and post when something different happens, like I get bit on...oops! Anyway... I have posted!

Oops, Wrong City

I just realized that I had posted a pic of Cuzco instead of Lima. Yikes!

Where I Grew Up

Hearing from Candy, a childhood friend, made me remember fondly my growing-up days in Lima, Peru. We had some incredible fun and adventures! Praise the Lord, I always loved being an MK!

Reflections on Peru, chapter 1

My good friend, Candy, has recently visited my site. That made me think of the good ole days in Chillon, Lima, Peru. Candy, several other interesting kids, and I grew up outside of Lima, Peru, on the grounds of the Baptist Bible Seminary of Lima. We had some great times and adventures! One of the really funny things I remember was all the "CLUBS" we had. Amazingly enough =)*ahem*, I was always the president. I wonder why? I can't remember if I forced them to vote for me, did they really love me, or was it a dictatorship. Can't remember...Amy, the youngest and just slightly less imposing than me, was ALWAYS the vice-president. In fact, as I recall, no matter what "club" it was, the roles were always the same. There was a secretary, a treasurer (did we have any money?), and a custodian, as I recall. TOO FUNNY. Now, the MK/TCK's I know today have ONLINE clubs. Who is the president? I imagine Jayde!

His Ways are not Our Ways

Today as I read my Bible (my Reina-Valera), I found an interesting verse, one which I've noticed before: Exodus 9:16~ "And in very deed for this cause HAVE I RAISED THEE UP, to show in thee my power; and that my name may be declared throughout all the earth." It's interesting, isn't it, that God put a wicked man like the Pharaoh of Egypt in power? Indeed, our God raised him up! Come on, now, this is a man who hardened his heart time after time to the Israelites leaving Egypt SO THAT THEY COULD WORSHIP HIM! I don't understand, but God was on the throne OVER PHARAOH then, and He's still the same today! God has a purpose, indeed he has raised up such an one in Venezuela today. I can only trust Him Who knows the end from the beginning, PTL!
