Copyright Question

My son, the poet, dedicated a poem to me for Mother's Day. I would love to share it, but how do I keep some unscrupulous person from stealing it?

Here is a place to start looking - I have seen it on other people's blog, but I am not sure exactly how it works. Check out http://www.copyscape.com/

Hope this helps!

ps - I would be sitting on the sidelines of the big coasters, too, but my hubby is all in!

Hey,
My name is Tyson O'Donnell and I am a product marketing manager for iCopyright; an award-winning service that helps content creators protect, promote, and monetize their creative works, while not erecting barriers for people who want to share and use those works.

I noticed you comment and have to say its a sad but true truth, that if someone truly wants to steal you intellectual property they can. However there are steps you can take to protect yourself. One such system is called ©reators. It is a free service for writers, bloggers, photographers, and other types of content creators. We are in beta and hope to get constructive feedback from creators and users. Our goal is to strike that delicate balance between creator's rights, user's rights, and the greater good.
The ©reators beta site is http://Creators.iCopyright.com.
We would very much appreciate your assistance in testing ©reators and providing feedback. The sign up process takes less than 10 minutes and gives content owners a unique ©reator tag to add to their works. Those who see the works can click the tag to learn about the creator and instantly acquire various permissions and licenses.
This will at least tell people what they do and do not have permission to use your son's poem for.

Please let me know if I can provide you with any additional information about iCopyright or ©reators.

Kind Regards,
Tyson O'Donnell
