A Different Kind of Christmas
This was a different kind of Christmas. The whole deal started on November 21, the day our son, Seth, got the dengue fever. He was in the hospital for 5 days. Eight days after he got out of the hospital, our son, EJ, got it too! Two days later, it was me, the next day, Sophie, the next Morgan. Last of all were Aaron and Matt. Anyway, to make a long month short (impossible when you have dengue!), we spent Christmas at home because Matt was still too weak to go anywhere. I barely got the tree up and presents bought. Hardly any goodies make either. Definitely a Christmas to remember--or forget . . . We're all better now, and we have lots of people to thank! Margarita (from our first church in Caracas) came to cook and take care of us--bless her, bless her, God! Some ladies from a nearby church came to clean my very messy house--que pena! Two Venezuelan churches took up love offerings for our family. We are a thankful, on the mend family!

Wow ! we are growing. Like a cult or something! I wish we had known sooner of your dengue, we would have been glad to go help! Thank the Lord he sends angels of mercy our way when we need them.
