Show and Tell Friday at Kelli's

No, ladies, these are not buttons (even though that's what they look like in this picture!)...this is my collection of "German" plates from Colonia Tovar, Venezuela. Colonia Tovar is a little German village nestled in the mountains outside of Caracas, Venezuela. We love it there! One of the times we were up there, we purchased these (for our kitchen back then). Now they are in our piano room.

Here they are in detail, from largest down to smallest....

My plates are wooden, handpainted, and hand-detailed. They are some of my favorite decorations!
Don't forget to go over to Kelli's to share something you love!

Literary Meme

How it works:

1.grab the book closest to you
2.open it to page 161
3.find the fifth full sentence
4.post the title of the book and the author's name
5.post the text of the sentence to your blog
6.don't search around for the coolest book you have, use the one that is really next to you

It's a cookbook (yawn): "Simmer for 2 minutes." Now, that's good advice!
